Larry The Cable Guy
Monday, April 2, 2012, SEDALIA, MO – Missouri State Fair Director Mark Wolfe announced today that a comedy act will be among the Pepsi Grandstand lineup this year. Larry The Cable Guy, comedian and star of the reality television show, “Only in America,” will be performing at the Missouri State Fair Aug. 17.
Wolfe is pleased to offer fairgoers a different opportunity in entertainment and expects Larry The Cable Guy to be among the most popular shows during the annual 11 day event.
“In addition to providing an evening of humor,” Wolfe said, “special plans are underway to incorporate the comedic fun into the entire day.”
Wolfe said the day, sponsored by Missouri Electric Cooperatives, will carry the theme, “MEC Day/GIT-R-DONE FRIDAY!” with friendly competitions being planned like a GIT-R-DONE Challenge–top 10 must-dos at the Fair, and a Larry The Cable Guy Look Alike Contest, with the winner earning back stage passes to meet Larry. Details on the day’s events will be at the Fair’s website.
Opening the show will be Reno Collier, a comedian with a reputation of selling out comedy clubs and colleges nationwide. Reno has toured with other notable funny-men, including Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Ron White.
