For the first time, Missouri State Fairgoers will have the opportunity to see World Strongman Mark Kirsch. His unique ability to pull large, heavy vehicles will be put to the test against a Caterpillar 725 Haul Truck weighing over 25 tons!

Witness the force Mark's mind and body must generate to overpower the vehicle and create rolling movement through the wheels.

The Millers

This family of four is known for their rich harmony, wide ranging musical skills and family-oriented bluegrass shows.

Dad Cliff sings lead vocals and plays the lead guitar. Mom Joanne is the bass player and sings lead and harmony vocals. Daughter Megan plays the fiddle with the best of them, and son Austin plays the banjo and sings lead and harmony vocals.

Back by popular demand for the first four days of the Fair (Aug. 12 - 15), Vocal Trash is a high energy variety show with Broadway appeal. These professionals produce amazing music from bass drum cans and galvanized lids, Vocal Trash electrifies young and old alike with their a cappella harmonies and industrial-stomp-style drumming!

Buttons the Clown

Be sure to watch for Buttons the Clown as he tours the fairgrounds in his 1932 Model Roadster, bringing "Miles of Smiles" to youngsters and adults alike.

Buttons is a lovable fellow who always has a pocketful of magic tricks for children and an armful of love and joy for the young and young at heart.

Marshall Municipal Band
Womans Building lawn, Aug. 12, before and after Opening Day Ceremony at 10am, 12pm & 3pm
Organized in 1921, the Marshall Municipal Band is currently in their eighty-ninth continuous season of performance, making it the second oldest tax-supported city band in Missouri! The band performs weekly Thursday night concerts in Marshall from May through August and we are proud to have them at the 2010 Missouri State Fair on August 12!

Missouri state sanctioned event. Pull will include 9 classes and is open to children ages 4-12. Register onsite the day of the event. Full contest rules will be available and followed at the contest site. In the Lowell Mohler Assembly Hall, Aug. 22 at 11am.

Donated by the Charlie Marshall family in 2008, this family-friendly area is in the heart of the Missouri State Fair Kids Zone, located west of the MEC Building.
Benches and picnic tables provide shady areas for parents to sit and watch their children while they play on the equipment.
