2017 Pepsi Grandstand Concert Series

Concert announcements for the Missouri State Fair are eagerly anticipated every year, especially for me, since I’ve never even been to the State Fair! This year’s line-up for the Pepsi Grandstand has some returning favorites, and up-and-coming artists that the whole family will be able to enjoy! “Come Home”, and enjoy a concert at the Pepsi Grandstand!

This year’s lineup includes –

Thursday, August 10- Sawyer Brown and Royal Wade Kimes

I grew up listening to Sawyer Brown with my parents (like I’m sure many other twenty-somethings did). This is a show I don’t want to miss!

Friday, August 11- Halestorm and Skylar Grey

Grammy-Award winning rock artists Halestorm brings you fan favorites like “Love Bites (So do I)” and “Here’s to Us” along with new hits like “Dear Daughter.” You might recognize Skylar Grey as the background vocals for Diddy’s “Coming Home.”

Halestorm

Saturday, August 12- Alan Jackson with special guest Lee Ann Womack

The “Summertime Blues” and “Good Time” singer always brings the honky-tonk, but he can also bring a tear to your eye with songs like “Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning” and “Sissy’s Song.” Womack is also no stranger to the stage. We can thank her for songs like “I Hope You Dance” and “I’ll Think of a Reason Later.”

Alan Jackson

Tuesday, August 15- Granger Smith feat. Earl Dibbles Jr. and Chris Lane

You’ll definitely hear a few “Yee Yee’s” at this concert on August 15! That’s because Granger Smith and his comedic alter ego Earl Dibbles Jr. will be on the Pepsi Grandstand Stage with Chris Lane Tuesday night. Smith brings us hits like “Backroad Song” and “If the Boot Fits.”  You might recognize Chris Lane’s voice from his singles “For Her” and “Fix.” Do you really want to be the one to say you missed out on Granger Smith and Chris Lane? I didn’t think so.

Wednesday, August 16- Southern Uprising Tour featuring The Charlie Daniels Band, The Marshall Tucker Band, Travis Tritt and The Outlaws

As a twenty-year-old woman, you wouldn’t think this is the concert I’m most excited about. But guess what, you’re wrong! The Southern Uprising Tour brings some favorites like the fiddle playing, boot-stomping Charlie Daniels Band and guitar-playing Marshall Tucker Band. Country legend Travis Tritt and southern rockers The Outlaws will definitely make for a great night of music in the Pepsi Grandstand!

Thursday, August 17- For King and Country and Jordan Feliz

Songs like “Fix My Eyes” and “Busted Heart (Hold on to Me)” will surely be crowd favorites. Feliz’s song, “The River” has climbed the Billboard Magazine Christian Charts and is sure to be what you need.

Friday, August 18- Red Dirt Country featuring Casey Donahew, Wade Bowen and Mo Pitney

A close second for me whenever it comes to concerts (don’t ask me to rank them all. It’ll be nearly impossible)! Casey Donahew, Wade Bowen and Mo Pitney, what more could a girl ask for? If you’ve heard “White Trash Story,” you’ve heard Casey Donahew. “Saturday Night” is a Wade Bowen hit you have to hear if you haven’t! Growing up just over the river in Rockford, IL, Mo Pitney is no stranger to the Midwest! Mo’s first single “Country” will give you the George Strait vibes you wouldn’t expect from a 24 year old!

Saturday, August 19- Little Big Town and Seth Ennis

We’re excited to go back to where they came from in the “Boondocks,” in our “Pontoon” while doing a little “Day Drinking.” Ennis gets the party started with his single “Woke up in Nashville.” If you don’t have tickets to this concert what are you doing? Tickets are going fast!
