The Missouri State Fair has been an attraction for more than a century, consistently serving as a place for Fairgoers to make memories and build traditions spanning over several generations. Whether the Fair reminds you of your best year as an exhibitor, summer love or 11 consecutive days of corn dogs, the Missouri State Fair is place we all love to “come home” to.

This year’s photo contest invited fairgoers to post a photo to Instagram that showcased why the Fair is home to them, along with a 100-word caption telling their story. Based on the number of “likes” they received, the contest’s top 10 submissions can be found below.

Each of these photos will be displayed in the Dr. Taylor Woods Youth Building, home to the AgriMissouri Bistro & Market, for the duration of the Fair. Fairgoers are encouraged to stop by the building and vote for their favorite submission. Voting will conclude on Saturday, August 19 at 12:00 pm.

The top three winners will be awarded:

  • 1st place: AgriMissouri/Missouri Grown gift basket valued at $100.00
  • 2nd place: AgriMissouri/Missouri Grown gift basket valued at $50.00
  • 3rd place: AgriMissouri/Missouri Grown gift basket valued at $25.00
