NANCY BOUSE just celebrated her 17th year with the Missouri State Fair. She finds that her job offers her the chance to meet and sometimes work with an interesting variety of people on a daily basis. Whether it’s Missouri agriculture leaders, government officials, farm families, RVers from across the country or any of the many professional entertainers seen on the Fairgrounds each year, you never know who’s going to walk into the State Fair Director’s Office! In fact, during last year’s Fair, Nancy took a call from the office of a state elected official while a pink clown stood juggling in her office – how many people can say that? Her favorite thing about the Fair is seeing families laughing and having a good time together. She admits that she is afraid of the down escalator, but is not afraid of heights, and can’t stand by the ocean without singing at least one verse of “How Great Thou Art.”
