  • 8 HORSE HITCH CLASS DRAFT HORSE HITCHES SHOW
    1 pm, Sunday, August 21

  • BEEF CATTLE SHOWS – Red Angus Show and Dexter Show
  • DAIRY CATTLE SHOWS – Youth Open Show has been changed to a 4-H/FFA Show
  • RABBIT SHOWS – 4-H & FFA rabbits will be judged separately
  • SHEEP SHOWS – Wool Show will feature new classes for Natural Colored fleeces – Fine, Medium & Course
  • HOME ECONOMICS DEPARTMENT  – Two new contests: Lunch Box Special Contest, sponsored by A-1 Well Drilling and “Crop” Fresh Vegetable Casserole Contest, sponsored by Starline Brass; both Monday, August 15
  • MISSOURI ASSOCIATION TRUCK & TRACTOR PULL
    Modified 4×4 Truck Class is back this year
    Qualifying and Finals to take place on one day this year, Sunday, August 14
    Some classes moved to State Fair Arena
  • OUTLAW TRUCK AND TRACTOR PULL
    Outlaw Truck and Tractor Pull is back this year
    Monday, August 15 in the Pepsi Grandstand
    All Day Ticket, 1 pm and 6:30 pm
    $25 Adults / $12 Youth (ages 6-12) / Free Kids 5 & Under

BARYNYARD STORY TIME

Join Missouri 4-H and FFA youth for story time daily on the Kids Stage!   Listen to a story featuring barnyard animals and get a chance to see the animal in the story up close.  

CAN CREATION CONTEST

Agriculture Building
Teams will have two hours to create a themed sculpture out of 500 cans.

FACILITY UPGRADES

4-H Building – Electric Theater will have a new look in 2016. This includes new display area, seating upgrades, lighting upgrades, carpet and paint

Beef House  – New breezeway structure being built by Missouri Cattlemen’s Association

Children’s Barnyard – Updates to roof, floor and electrical; two new Big Ass Fans; new pens and gates for animals

Sheep Pavilion – New portable pens installed in south and west sections of the barn, purchased by the MSF Foundation; New electric and water services installed by MSF staff with material purchased by the MSF Foundation; New scales for both Sheep and Goat weigh-ins, purchased by the MSF

Swine Pavilion – New set of scales and weigh-in purchased by the MSF; Eight new Bad Ass Fans in the West Annex purchased by the MSF Foundation
