Cock-a-doodle-doo! It’s time to register for the Missouri State Fair livestock shows and contests. Below are the upcoming deadlines for the events and contests that the Fair offers.

July 1: 4-H/FFA & Open Livestock Entries
July 15: Queen Contest
July 20: Agriculture: Country Hams, Mild Cured Ham, Bacon, Sausage, Snack Sticks & Jerky; Fine Arts: Missouri Junior Top 50, Photography, Porcelain, Amateur/Professional; Home Economics: All Entries
July 22: Opening Day Parade Entries by 5 p.m.
July 25: Draft Horse, Draft Horse Pull, Pony Pull
July 31: Agriculture: Dairy Products

What’s New in Livestock & Competitive Exhibits

As the barns get prepared to be open for the 2022 Missouri State Fair, we’re sharing a list of NEW contests and livestock shows coming to the Fair this year. A new featured show is the 4-H/FFA Supreme Heifer Show. It will be taking place at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20th. Entries must be submitted by July 1. Nominate a Veteran / Active Duty Military Service Member Today

The deadline to nominate a Missouri veteran or active duty service member for the 2022 Missouri State Fair Military Flag Retreat, sponsored by Capital Materials, Retrieving Freedom, Inc., and Starline Brass, is fast approaching!

Veterans and active duty service members from across Missouri are eligible to be honored in a Military Flag Retreat ceremony taking place near the Historic Administration Building on the Missouri State Fairgrounds. The ceremony will take place all eleven days of the Missouri State Fair and honor one individual each evening.

As a part of the selection process, individuals can be nominated using a form available on the Missouri State Fair website, accessible through this link. Nominees must be Missouri residents and available to attend one of the eleven days of the 120th Missouri State Fair (Aug. 11-21). Once a nomination form is complete, it can be mailed, faxed, or emailed to the Missouri State Fair office. The deadline to submit nominations is July 5, 2022.
