Clay Clear has been performing professionally since he was eleven, dragged into a smoky honky-tonk by his music loving father. For years, he honed his craft as a lead guitarist and vocalist throughout Missouri. At thirteen, Clay was a founder of cover band Dirt Road Addiction, a favorite in Missouri for performing contemporary country music.

Clay left Dirt Road Addiction in 2020 to pursue music in Nashville, a lifelong dream that was rudely interrupted by the COVID-19 epidemic. After moving back to Missouri, Clay put together the Clay Clear Band to perform his own brand of Southern Rock and authentic Country music inspired by his favorite artists: Waylon Jennings, Ray Charles, the Allman Brothers Band, and others.

Clay has been recognized as Missouri’s Best Musician by Missouri Magazine since 2020. As a solo act, he has opened for the likes of ZZ Top, George Thorogood and the Desteroyers, and David Lee Murphey.
