Accessibility

Admission

Regular admission prices, exhibitor admission and admission specials are detailed on the Fair Admission page.

Animals

The Fair features livestock shows in cattle, swine, sheep, goat, llamas, poultry, rabbits, mules and donkeys, and horses. For a complete listing of judged events, see the Judging Schedule page. Want to enter a competition? Visit the Participate page.

ATMs

ATMs are located throughout the fairgrounds. Visit an Information Booth during the Fair for locations.

Baby Feeding & Changing Area

The Family Fun Center is a great place for families with babies and small children to beat the heat for a while and relax in an air-conditioned environment. The 450-square-foot facility offers a baby changing and feeding area, complete with a wash basin and baby changing station, provided by Walmart.

Bicycles / Skates / Skateboards / Scooters

These are prohibited on the fairgrounds with the exception of motorized scooters for handicapped persons.

Camping

Concessionaire / Vendor Space

The first step in obtaining space at the Missouri State Fair is to complete and return a registration form to declare your interest and to describe your product or service.

As space becomes available, all registration forms are reviewed and Fair staff will contact those applications selected for further consideration.

Contests

The Fair hosts many contests in which fairgoers can participate. Please view the Special Contests information in the Premium Guide for details.

Coolers

Fair patrons are welcome to bring their own coolers to the Fair, provided they do not contain alcoholic beverages. Coolers are subject to search at the admission gate.

Courtesy Carts

Courtesy carts are available during the Fair.

Credit Cards

Visa, Mastercard and Discover cards are accepted at the Public Campgrounds.

Daily Guide Schedule

Daily guides are available at the Centennial Gate and Gate 11, and at all Information Booths, and are absolutely free to Fair guests.

Official Missouri State Fair Souvenir Programs are also available for free at any Information Booth.

The 2022 Missouri State Fair begins on Aug. 11- 21. 11 whole days of fun!

2023 Dates: August 10-20

Electric Scooter & Wheelchair Rental

Electric scooters and wheelchairs will be available to rent on a first-come, first-served basis at the Fair.

Rental Fees

Electric Mobility Carts:

  • 4 Hours – $30
  • 8 Hours – $45
  • All Day – $55

Wheelchairs:

  • All Day – $15

Emergency Services

Emergencies should be promptly reported to any member of the Missouri State Fair Staff or a Highway Patrol Officer.

First Aid

Treatment and supplies are available at the First Aid Station, located on the west side of the Firehouse (east of the Highway Gardens).

Groups

The Missouri State Fair believes “the more, the merrier” and welcomes groups to the Fair! Groups of 25 or more are eligible for admission discounts. Visit the Group Sales page for details.

Information Booths

Information Booths are located throughout the fairgrounds to assist Fair guests with directions and general Fair information.

Internet Access

Free Wi-Fi Service is provided on the fairgrounds. Free Cyber Cafe, located in the Mathewson Exhibition Center. High-speed stations – connect and go!

Lost & Found

Lunch Bunch

Non-Fair / Year-Round Events

Paging

Paging is available from the Paging Booth inside the Highway Patrol office for a $2 fee per page.

Parking

The Missouri State Fair offers numerous parking options and facilities; see the Parking page for details.

Pets

The only pets permitted on the fairgrounds are:

  • Service animals for persons with disabilities
  • On-duty police dogs
  • Trained animals appearing in a scheduled event
  • Animals entered in scheduled exhibitions and/or competitions

Photos

Official Fair photographers post the photos they take on their websites for individuals to purchase. Visit the Official Missouri State Fair Photographers page for a complete list of photographers and their websites.

Picnic Tables

Picnic tables are available in parking areas, the Kids Zone located behind the MEC Building and in the Highway Gardens.

Premium Guide

Visit the Participate page to access the ultimate guide to State Fair competitions and events. The Premium Guide will be available in April.

Competition results are typically posted within 2-3 days beginning Aug 14.

Senior Citizen Lounge

The Senior Citizens Lounge is open daily inside the Log Home. Air conditioning, refreshments, maps and general Fair information are available.

Souvenirs

Official Missouri State Fair Souvenir Booths are located in front of the Historic Administration Building and just south of the Midway entrance and are operated by the Missouri State Fair Foundation.

Official Missouri State Fair Souvenir Programs are available for free at any Information Booth.

Stroller Rental

Strollers and wagons will be available for rental at the Fair.

Rental Fees

  • Single Strollers: All Day – $10
  • Double Strollers: All Day – $15
  • Wagons: All Day – $12

Taxis

Taxis must enter through Gate 11 and may not go past unloading areas. All parking areas are under police protection and handled by efficient parking attendants.

Trams

Tram service is available for free from parking areas to admission gates. Inside the fairgrounds, rides are 50 cents each. Senior Citizens (60+) receive free tram rides every day with a sticker available in the Senior Citizens Lounge.

Video recording is permitted throughout the fairgrounds but is prohibited at all times in the Grandstand.
