Friday, Aug 14 – Animal Calling
We are hunting the best animal caller at the Missouri State Fair. Contestants will choose between the five categories: cow mooing, chicken clucking, pig snorting, duck quacking, and sheep calling. There are no actual calls allowed to be used, it must be all unaided auditory. The audience will choose a winner from each category. The category winners will then compete for Grand Champion caller. The grand champion will be chosen based off judge’s vote.
Saturday, Aug 15 – Pepsi Cup Pong
Join the fun with Pepsi Pong! Grab a partner and face off against another duo in this fast-paced game of skill and accuracy. Each two-player team takes turns throwing ping pong balls across a five-foot table lined with six water-filled Pepsi cups. You’ll get two throws per turn to sink your shots – every ball that lands in a cup removes it from play. The first team to eliminate all six cups together wins the game and advances to the next round. The winning team gets Pepsi merchandise or products.
Sunday, Aug 16 – Best Mustache and Beard
The Missouri State Fair is hosting an open mustache judging contest for all attendees! Participants will compete for three awards—Longest, Coolest, and Overall Best—based on size, quality, color, style, presentation, durability, and creativity.
Monday, Aug 17 – Farmer Relay
This challenge requires competitors to combine agility, speed, and farm skills to beat the clock. Participants will showcase a wide range of abilities as they race through a series of farm-related tasks. The competitor with the fastest time to complete tasks will be the winner!
Tuesday, Aug 18 – Blindfolded Makeup
In this game a pair of individuals will compete to have the best makeover! One will be the makeup artist while the other is the client. Here’s the twist, the make up artist is blindfolded. The artist will have 3 minutes to do the transformation. The crowd then votes for the best team to win!
Wednesday, Aug 19 – Finish The Lyrics
This game is inspired by our Grandstand concert line up. We will be playing many genres. When the music stops, you are to finish the lyrics. Any incorrect answer will result in elimination.
Thursday, Aug 20 – Scoop It to Win It
In this game, two players will compete to use a spoon held in their mouth to scoop ping pong balls out of 10 water-filled solo cups lined up on a table. One at a time, they must carry each ball to a bucket at the end of the table without using their hands. If a ball is dropped, it must be returned to its original cup before trying again. The player who gets all the ping pong balls into the bucket the fastest wins!
Friday, Aug 21 – Chain Reaction
Step up for a brainpower face-off in our Chain Reaction contest! In this game, two players compete head-to-head, racing to complete a chain of seven connected words. Each person is given the first word to start the chain. From there, they must guess the next word based on how it connects to the one before it, like how “dog” might lead to “park.” When a player guesses wrong, the next letter is revealed and it’s the other person’s turn. If they get it correct, they get to continue guessing. The first player completes their chain wins the round.
Saturday, Aug 22 – Water Balloon Toss
Get ready for a splash of fun in our Water Balloon Toss contest! Players will team up in pairs and stand a few steps apart, facing each other. Each team gets one water balloon, and the goal is to toss it back and forth without letting it drop or pop. After each successful catch, meaning the balloon is thrown and caught by both teammates, all teams will take one big step backward, making each toss a little more challenging. If a team drops their balloon or it bursts, they’re out of the game. The last team with their balloon unbroken wins!
