Missouri State Fair Announces Open Applications for Entries and Marketing Internships

Sedalia, Mo. — The Missouri State Fair is now accepting applications for the summer of 2027 for the Entries and Marketing Internship programs. These internships offer hands on, career building experiences for college students interested in agriculture, communications, and fair industry operations.

Entries Internship
The Entries Internship is designed for college students pursuing degrees in agriculture related fields. Applicants studying agriculture, animal science, agricultural education, agricultural business, or communications are preferred. Interns will assist with the coordination of competitive entries, exhibitor communication, livestock department support, and fair-time operations. This role provides valuable exposure to event management, agricultural exhibits, and public-facing service.

Marketing Internship
The Marketing Internship is geared toward college students pursuing degrees in agriculture related fields, communications, public relations, advertising, marketing, or journalism. Interns will support the Fair’s communications and promotional efforts, including social media content creation, photography, writing assignments, media relations assistance, and the planning of on grounds marketing events during the Fair.

Both internships offer an opportunity to gain real world experience, build professional networks, and contribute to the success of one of Missouri’s most celebrated annual events.
