Mizzou Day – Thursday, Aug 13
Join us on Thursday, Aug. 13, as tigers take center stage for Mizzou Day, presented by University of Missouri, during Opening Day of the 2026 Missouri State Fair.
From agriculture and research to traditions that unite Missourians across the state, Mizzou Day is a celebration of the University of Missouri’s impact on communities, families and industries throughout Missouri.
Mizzou Day highlights include:
- $7 gate admission all day for ages 13 and older
- $2 youth admission for ages 6-12
- Opening Day discounts at select concessions and vendors
- Visit Mizzou Central to experience educational activities, daily cooking demos, Tiger Stripe Ice Cream at Bucks, visit the Tiger Team Store and more!
- Opening Day Ceremony, Ribbon Cutting & Hayden Plaza Dedication at 11 a.m. in the Governor Michael L. Parson Arena
- Missouri State Fair Fire Station Ribbon Cutting at 1 p.m.
- 4-H Building Ribbon Cutting at 2:30 p.m.
- Opening Day Parade at 6 p.m. on Missouri State Boulevard
Whether you’re a proud Tiger alumni, current student or a supporter of Missouri agriculture, Mizzou Day is the perfect way to kick off the Missouri State Fair.

Missouri Department of Conservation Day – Friday, Aug 14
Discover Nature and You: Join us for Missouri Department of Conservation Day, Friday, Aug. 14 at the Missouri State Fair! Check out what fun nature and conservation experiences the Missouri Department of Conservation has to offer in the Conservation Building.
Highlights of the day include exciting activities and promotions from the Missouri Department of Conservation, including:
- Fish cooking and cleaning demonstrations
- Find out how to get invasive plants and animals out of Missouri, with displays and activities on the MoDOT lawn next door to the MDC pavilion
- Interactive exhibits on wildlife, water, and forests
- Hands-on activities for kids and families
- Educational demonstrations and workshops
- Opportunities to meet your local conservation experts
- Serving nature & you with fish aquaria & other exhibits
The Conservation Building is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Aug 13-22 and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 23. Hours for the Xplor Zone Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 13-22 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 23.
