Poultry

  • 4-H/FFA Market Turkey Show

Boer Goats

  • Market Goat show time change- Wednesday 8/12 at 11:00 am
  • Market show to be split into divisions: light weight, medium weight, heavy weight.
  • Percentage Bucks classes added to the 4-H and FFA Boer Goat Shows.

Swine

  • Ownership deadline moved to May 1st to match market barrow deadline.

Sheep

  • MO Sheep Producers are adding a lamb BBQ competition on Sunday 8/16.

Dairy Goat

  • A showmanship contest will be held as part of the Dairy Goat Show.
    • 4-H classes: 8-10 Juniors, 11-13 Intermediate, 14-16 Senior, 17-18 Experienced Senior.
    • The winner in each age division will compete for an overall 4-H Supreme Showman.

Beef Carcass

  • Market heifers now allowed in the carcass shows.

FFA Building

  • New classes for Shop Equipment, Metal Lawn, Outdoor Recreation, Wood Lawn, Indoor Division and Decorative Division.
  • Horticulture and Floriculture now split into two different divisions. 
  • Canned vegetables and fruits now split into two different classes.

High School Senior Livestock Banners

  • Submissions to be completed by 6/10/26.

Exhibitor Season Pass Wristbands

  • Wristbands to be sold in lieu of purchasing 11 single day admission tickets. Wristbands will cost $88.00 and will be sold when entries open on May 1.

New – Rules

Entry Deadline

  • Livestock entry deadline is July 13 at 5:00 p.m. No late entries accepted.

Animal Health

  • Animal health rule change requires cattle and swine exhibitors to provide a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI), completed by an accredited veterinarian within 30 days of the show. Cattle and swine must also be identified with an official form of identification. Swine will require a NUES tag and cattle will require an AID/RFID tag.

DNA

  • DNA data collection form now offered electronically. 
  • All steers need to have an EID tag present in their ear.

4-H Eligibility Update

  • Members can be independent and enroll at any time. In order to show at MSF the member must pay 4-H dues by 6/1/26.

4-H Food Quality Assurance Policy for 2026

  • By June 1, 2026, all 4-H members enrolled in food animal projects including beef, sheep, swine, dairy cattle, meat and dairy goats, rabbits, and poultry must complete the appropriate level of Missouri Show-Me Quality Assurance certification, or equivalent Quality Assurance programming, to be considered a 4-H member in good standing in that project. No further quality assurance documentation is needed.
